Synopsis As Chief Designer of KIA Motors America, Tom Kearns gives us a glimpse into the mind of a contemporary car designer. We go on a trip with Tom to Willow Springs Racetrack and hear him share his feelings about how motorcycles clear his mind of clutter and help push him past personal boundaries to find inspiration and creativity. Creativity takes effort, and Tom's serenity, intelligence, and empathy are gifts that help him use creativity to solve design problems and change the world.

Inspiration for Tom Kearns On Design Scott wanted to focus on how Tom finds meaning in life, so they concentrated on creativity as a source or tool. They spoke about the impact that design has made on machines, the evolution of those machines, and how they have influenced mankind. Tom was generous enough to open up and give us the opportunity to dig into his processes. We all find meaning in different ways, and he has dedicated years to fine-tune his creative life. In Tom's own words, “Through creativity, people can be open to new ways of thinking for a better way of life.”
